How to Reach Annapurna Base Camp (2021 or any other Year)
Annapurna Base Camp trek starts from Nayapul — 40 km (approx 1:30 hr Drive) directly north of Pokhara. You will be heading to Pokhara from Kathmandu by bus or flight.
How long does it take from Kathmandu to Pokhara?
Bus — The bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara should take around 6–7 hours, however, we’ve never found this to be true. On average, expect a travel time of at least 8–9 hours due to traffic jams.
Flight — The flights are scheduled from morning to afternoon. · The duration of the flight is 25 minutes.

Is it hard to get to Annapurna Base Camp?
With high determination and basic fitness level, one could achieve their dream of being at a base of mighty Annapurna. At the time of trekking, one should walk 6–7 hrs a day.
Prior to trekking be prepared mentally and physically. Aerobic training includes training for your heart, lung, and blood cells. You can go for regular jogging, walking up and down, and cycling. It is also good to have the cardio-training for 2–3 months before the trek.
Best Season to Trek in Annapurna
Although Annapurna Base Camp can be trekked throughout the year but we suggest Spring (February to May) and Autumn (October to December) because this season is the best season for trekking.
Nepal receives monsoon rain from June through September, which is not a great time to trek.
Winter is very cold in the upper mountains with heavy snowfall which cause obstructions in the trekking routes.

Things to pack while Trekking Annapurna Base Camp
You need to pack light yet sufficient for your trekking days. Unless you pack wisely, it is certain that you will not be able to enjoy your journey in the Himalayas. Since this is a lodge-to-lodge trek, you will be sleeping in small lodges or teahouses during the entire trip. You need to be prepared with the right clothing and equipment as it may get colder at higher elevations especially during the cold months.
Necessary items that should be included in a backpack- Water Purification Tablets, General Medications paracetamol, Imodium, Basic First Aid Kit, Sun-cream, Lip balm, hand sanitizer and any prescribed medicines.
You can also hire a porter for your luggage.
